“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” II Timothy 3:16
Doctrinal statement
Scripture
We accept the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments as the verbally inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice. We accept the King James Authorized Version of the Bible to be the preserved Word of God for the English speaking people and use no other translation in preaching or other ministry. We believe the Bible is infallible and free from error of any sort in all matters with which it deals, scientific and historical as well as moral and theological. (De 4:2; De 6:1-9 Ps 119:1-176; Pro 30:5-6; II Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:12; II Pet 1:19-21; Rev 22:18-19)
Trinity
We believe in the tri-unity of God whom manifests Himself in three persons: (1) God the Father - Who is sovereign, eternal, unchangeable in all attributes, worthy of honor, adoration, and obedience, (2) God the Son - Who was incarnated and virgin born, lived a sinless life, provided a sufficient and vicarious death on the cross for the sins of the whole world, was resurrected from the dead after three days and ascended into heaven, (3) God the Holy Spirit - the third person of the Godhead, convicts, regenerates, indwells and seals all believers in Christ. He gives spiritual gifts to all believers. (Gen. 1:26; Deut. 6:4; Ps 2:2, 12; Matt. 3:16-17, 28:19; Joh 1:1-3, 12-14, 3:16, 16:7-14; Eph 1:17)
Creation
We believe in the creation of the universe and all living things by a direct act of God, apart from any so-called evolutionary process. We also believe that this creation process took place in the six literal twenty four hour periods or days as recorded in Scripture. (Gen 1:1-31; Ex 20:11, Jn 1:1-3; Col 1:15-17; Heb. 11:3)
Satan
We believe in the existence of a personal being called Satan, who is malicious and acts as a tempter and accuser of the brethren. He is not omniscient, omnipresent, nor all powerful, but must seek the permission of God to tempt believers and carry out his wicked devices. Hell, the literal place of eternal punishment, was prepared for him and his angels. His ultimate destination is the Lake of Fire and all who die without believing on Jesus Christ as their Saviour shall be confined with him in conscious torment for eternity. (Gen. 3:1-5; Job 1:6-12; Eze 28:11-17; Mat. 4:1-11, 25:41; I Cor. 7:5; Eph 2:2, 6:11-12; I The 3:5; Rev 20:10)
Sinful Man
We believe in the fall of man and the subsequent depravity and sinfulness of the whole human race, making man incapable of personal salvation and good works before God, thus needing Jesus Christ as his Saviour. (Gen. 3:16-24; 6:5; Psa 14:1-4, 58:3; Jer 17:5-6, 9; Rom. 3:10-23)
Justification
We believe that men are justified by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Mankind is accounted righteous before God only through the merit of Christ’s atoning work on the cross of Calvary. That personal salvation from the eternal penalty of sin is provided solely by repenting of sin and believing on Jesus Christ. Once justified, the believer is eternally secure in Christ. (Luk 18:13-14; Joh 10:27-30, Rom. 3:20-26, 5:1-11, 6:23, 10:9-13; Gal. 2:16, 3:26; Heb 5:9, 9:22; 1 Joh 5:10-13)
Return of Christ
We believe in the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church. In that Jesus Christ will bodily return in the air to catch away His bride, the Church. This is followed by a seven year Tribulation period where God will pour out His wrath on the unrighteousness of this world. The final event of the Tribulation period is the return of Jesus Christ to the earth to establish His Millennial Kingdom. At the close of His one thousand year reign, all the dead will be raised. The righteous will live with Him forever in heaven. The unrighteous will stand before Him at the Great White Throne Judgment, where they will be condemned for eternity in the Lake of Fire and brimstone forever. (Psa. 96:13; Mat 24:23-27, 25:31-47; Acts 17:31; 1 The 4:13-18; Rev. 20:15)
The Local Church
We believe the Local Church is God's divinely appointed organization for accomplishing of His will for this dispensation. It is for the assembling of believers for their edifying, to observe the ordinances of the Church (Lord's Supper and Baptism), discipleship of the Saints, evangelizing the lost and proclaiming the Gospel. A person is qualified for membership in the local church when they have believed Jesus Christ as Savior and been baptized by immersion in water. (Mat 16:18, 18:17, 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-47, 14:27; I Cor 12:28; Eph 1:22 Hebrews 10:25)
Missions
We believe that God's plan for this present age involves the evangelization of the world through the witness of every believer in Jesus Christ and the establishing of local churches as a means of accomplishing His purpose. (Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8, 13:2-3)
The Ordinances
We believe there are only two ordinances in the Church today, they are: Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Both are testimonial and have no saving (sacramental) power in them. (Mat 28:18-20; Mar 16:15-16; Luk 22:19-20; I Corinthians 11:20-34)
Government
We believe in loyalty to God, country and government, as long as the government honors God. (Rom.13:1-7; 1 Tim.2:1-3; 1 Peter. 2:13-14)
Music
We believe music should be conservative and God honoring. We reject the notion that we must play the music of the world and join in the sensuous dance of the world to reach the world. (2 Cor 6:14-17) Music is not amoral, it is medium with a moral message whereby we praise God and encourage one another. (Eph 5:19-20; 2 Sam 22:50; 1 Chr 15:16; 2 Chr 5:13, 34:12; Ps 47:7, 135:3, 144:9)
Separation
We believe in biblical separation, (not exclusion) from the world. (John 17:14-17) We believe Christians should talk different, act different, dress different and abstain from the practices of the world that lead to questionable or outright sinful habits. (Ps 139:1-6, 101:2-3; Rom 6:1-23; 1 Cor 6:19-20; 2 Cor 5:17, 6:14-7:1, 2 Thes 5:21-22)
